I want a St. Patrick’s Day balloon ball!!! LOVE it!! I think balloon balls on a parachute are my kiddos favorite in KinderJam classes. And they also are thrilled when I pull out my stretchy band. Bear Paw Creek has been a wonderful discovery! I don’t have a finger paint recipe but have a fun idea that I do every year in my preschool class. The day before St. Patrick’s Day we color white styrofoam cups (6oz size) with green markers to make leprechaun traps. Yes… Our hands turn green and anything else we touch but hey…green is in this time of year! I was told to not use crayons because we are baking these in the oven and it doesn’t have the same outcome. We use blocks, markers, toys to balance the cups and create traps all around the room. That night I bake the cups in the oven. 350 degrees for just a minute. Watch them and they shrink right down!! I hot glue gold coins to the mini leprechaun “hat”. I leave a note the next day and tell them the leprechauns had a party in our class. They made a mess and danced a jig and turned out traps into party hats.:) Those mischievous leprechauns! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
