Our original Stretchy Bands for creative movement come in four different sizes and are a complete circle. The Connect-a-Stretchy Band only comes in one size. However, it features a buckle system that allows you to disconnect the band and use it in a straight line in addition to the circle.

With the buckle system, you can connect additional bands together. Allowing you to create the size you need for your creative movement activities. This is ideal for those with varying class sizes or for those who like to use different-sized bands for different activities.

With the Set of 6 Connect-a-Stretchy Bands, you will be able to create all four original Stretchy Band sizes. Plus two larger sizes: an XXL (five bands connected) and an XXXL (all six bands connected). This would be a very fun way to engage a large group or classroom by allowing you all to be a part of the same circle.

With the six bands and their connecting capabilities, you would also be able to split larger groups into smaller groups. Instead of one large group on one circle, you could split everyone up into two or three groups!

Using a Hub allows you to turn your Connect-a-Stretchy Bands into fun shapes, such as:

Sizing Guide:

The sizing guide below gives the original Stretchy Band sizes along with the conversion chart for the Connect-a-Stretchy Bands. Determining how many you can fit around a band depends on the age/size of those you have in your creative movement class or session. When we say “people,” we are referring to tweens/teens and adults.

Here is what each option entails:

Fix Your Own Stretchy Band: 

With this option, you will select what type of tubing you prefer along with the size of your Stretchy Band. You will be charged for the replacement tubing as well as a $10 flat rate shipping fee to have it sent to you (unless you order other Bear Paw Creek products and your order is over $75, which would qualify for free shipping).  The cost of the tubing when selecting the “Fix Your Own Stretchy Band” option is lower than the “Send to Bear Paw Creek Repair Shop” option since you are doing the labor of replacing the tubing. Instructions on how to replace the tubing will be included. If you run into any issues when trying to replace it or need help answering any questions, we are more than happy to help.

Send to Bear Paw Creek Repair Shop: 

With this option, you will select what type of tubing you prefer along with the size of your Stretchy Band. You will be charged for the replacement tubing along with a $10 flat rate shipping fee which pays for the shipping label to send the Stretchy Band back to you after we have replaced the tubing (unless you order other Bear Paw Creek products and your order is over $75, which would qualify for free shipping). After making your replacement tubing purchase, take the Stretchy Band in need of repair to your local Post Office and have it shipped to the address below. We will replace the tubing, mail it back to you, and you will be good to go for your next music and movement time.

These bright Stretchy Bands** are made of latex or latex free tubing covered with fabric and include a hook and loop closure.  They are great for practicing numerous goal areas and group activities. Practice making shapes, rhythm, and boundary issues. Music Therapists, Music Together, and Music Educators love using this movement prop with their clients and students.

Latex vs. Latex Free?

We have been using latex tubing since 2000.  In 2012, at the request of a customer we began offering latex free as well.  We always recommend the latex version if latex free is not a concern.  The latex has more of a bounce feeling and give than the latex free.  Since latex is a main component of rubber, that makes sense.  Manufacturer recommends latex over latex free for durability and experience.

Connect-a-Stretchy Band

Connect-a- Stretchy Bands** will include a storage bag that will fit the total ordered.  If you would like more than one bag, please let us know in the comments section when you order.

You can use it straight for a walking rope for preschool or groups, in a train songs, parades, etc. Buckle it together to make a circle and use for circle dances, movement, boundary issues, teaching opposites, colors, and so much more!  Check out this post written on a music movement activity suggested by a customer, making apple pie.
